Bishop's Charity

Golf Classic &
Broom Tree Banquet

The 20th Annual “Bishop’s Charity Golf Classic” is scheduled for Sunday and Monday, August 24 & 25, 2014.  The Sunday night Broom Tree Banquet will be held at the Ramkota beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a social and silent auction.   On Monday, there will be two simultaneous golf tournaments -  “The Bishop’s Scramble,” and “The Bishop’s Cup” – will take place at Westward Ho and Minnehaha Country Clubs. The Bishop's Charity Golf Classic will end following golf on Monday with a relaxed Awards Reception.

This is a great time for people from around the state to gather for fun and fellowship, as well as show their support and learn more about the Broom Tree Retreat Center.

In 2013, 250 golfers making up 62 teams played in The Bishop's Charity Golf Classic . More than $133,000 was raised for Broom Tree, thanks to the generosity and dedication of participants in the Golf Classic, the Broom Tree Banquet & Auction, and the Notre Dame Raffle.

Beneficiary:   Broom Tree Youth & Family Camp -  We all struggle for the time, the opportunity and the place to experience and grow in our journey to holiness.  We need to be able to hear God’s call.  To be more fulfilling, this often times requires leadership, support and adequate facilities. Broom Tree Retreat and Conference Center provides a natural and peaceful setting and atmosphere for young people and adults searching for personal and spiritual growth. A significant, ecumenical center for faith formation and spiritual renewal!
